07.22.07 Chippewa Lake Park | Medina, OH
Chippewa Lake Park has a history and a story worth sharing. Located in Medina, Ohio, just off the shores of Chippewa Lake, this abandoned amusement park was open from 1878 through 1978. At the time the park was officially opened for business, women still weren't allowed to vote. No one had ever driven a car, seen a movie, or so much as turned on a light bulb. There were still only 38 states. Since its closing, it has remained intact, battling natural decay and abuse from trespassers.
