08.16.08 Cleveland Cold Storage | Cleveland, OH

The abandoned Cleveland Cold Storage building can be clearly seen off of I-90, just before downtown. It's probably more so known for it's large advertisements that get painted on the buildings sides.

As far as the buildings history, I'm afraid I could not come up with any information. I don't know how long it has been abandoned, how tall the building is, nor exactly what the company did. If anyone has the information, please feel free to contact me.

Me and Brandon made the trip with a primary objective, to get to the roof and climb the water tower at the top of the building. The inside was pitch black and at times was very hard to breath. The stairs were missing multiple steps and sometimes were completely rusted away and we had nothing but a slim board to walk up. We did not bother to photograph the inside and I do not recommend that anybody attempts to explore it. Enjoy.

All of the doors and windows were sealed, but this is where we entered (use your imagination).

After you....

Engine Building

Just behind the large building was a smaller one that had some large engines and was plastered with graffiti. It too, had a roof for us to climb on.

This ladder was the scariest thing we experienced that day (ask Brandon here)

The climb up that ladder took us to this rooftop...

Thanks to Jill for taking this video of me and Brandon on the roof.
