Ohio Coast Guard Station #219 was created 1940 and serviced until 1972 due to a move to a new location.
In 1984 the building went up for auction and sold for $400,000. It was turned into a restaurant and nightclub called "The Island" and lasted just one season due to it's remoteness. It has been left abandoned ever since.
