Jerry Reinsdorf hired husband-and-wife artist team of Julie and Omri Rotblatt-Amrany to work with Michael Jordan to design the 17-foot, 2,000-pound bronze statue that sits in front of the United Center. It was unveiled in November 1994 after Jordan's first retirement (Oct. 6, 1993).
