Milan Cemetery was a target of mine for a long time, in part for it's beautiful tombstones, but mostly for the "Legend of the Abbott Tomb". Legend has it that the cemetery is haunted by Ben and Lorena Abbott, who passed away in the mid 1800's. The crypt is facing away from the cemetery, toward a ravine. There was an opening where you could look through to see the inside, which had rusted coffins on the wall. I was a little bummed to see that was sealed.
As for the cemetery itself, it was established in 1851. It contains some of the family of Thomas Edison, who was born in Milan. Enjoy!
