05.18.08 Saint Luke's Hospital | Cleveland, OH

Me and Brandon (who went with me to the abandoned Coast Guard Station earlier this day), next checked out the abandoned Saint Luke's Hospital. This was my third time going there, but the first with someone else crazy (in a good way of course) enough to navigate through anything. The building is rather large and if you wanted to see everything that it has to offer, it would take many days, even weeks to browse. There is a clock tower, theater, surgery rooms, and I even heard rumors of a morgue.
The hospital was founded in 1894 as "Cleveland General Hospital" in a converted mansion. In 1906, the name was changed to "Saint Luke's Hospital" after an affiliation with the United Methodist Church. In 1999, St. Luke's staff merged with St. Vincent Charity Hospital, and to my knowledge, the building has been left abandoned ever since.
The building however, has still seen its share of visitors. There are copper thieves inside daily, busting through the walls to steal the pipes for cash. Also, over the last year, the hospital has become a hot spot for explorers and photographers. Not too many though, have dared to go all the way to the top...
Me and Brandon did. Enjoy the photos.
Warning: I do not recommend that anyone explores the inside. It's highly dangerous and can result in serious illness, injury, or even death.

The view from the top of the tower...
