08.08.07 Washington, DC Capitol Hill Part 2 of the road trip (Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Washington, Virginia Beach, Daytona Beach, Miami Beach) was Washington, DC. Seeing the Nation's Capital was amazing. The architecture for those historic structures was simply stunning. It was hard to enjoy however, as temperatures were reaching 105° with heat idexes reaching up into the 120's. You could not walk a couple blocks without needing a lot of water. That did not stop many tourists however, many of which relaxed in the massive shadow of the Washington Monument and inside the Lincoln Memorial.
