Stupid Common Modeling Misconceptions
I do not try to have sex with the models I shoot.
I do not ask the model to do nude shots.
I do not target any specific type of model.
Bottom line is, I only do what I am asked to do.
Disclaimer: My pictures (free or paid shoots) are not to be edited, retouched up, manipulated, cropped, cut, used in graphics, or altered in ANY way. They can not be used for marketing purposes. Violators will face legal action.
What the model gets?
Paid Shoot: My standard rates are $100 an hour and $25 per edited photo. I require a $50 booking fee deposit that is non refundable, so if you flake on me, it's your loss.
The model gets to pick which images they want to be edited.
Free Shoot: I will do free trade for time pictures with select individuals of all experience levels. If the model has a look that I like, if they are confident, open, and can bring something unique or of higher quality in my portfolio, I will shoot for free.
I edit the pictures that I think are the best and brand them with my copyright. The models are free to use the pictures on social networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook, or personal portfolio sites.
The amount of pictures the model gets depends on how well they do. I only want my best work displayed. The better they do, the more pictures they will get. Typically, they receive 4-5 to 12 or more. If you don't think that is enough, look over my standard rates and do the math. It's free, take what you can get or work with someone else.
To inquire about a free shoot, send me an email with at least 3 pictures of yourself, one being a facial portrait, and the other two displaying your body, front and side (nude not required, just show me what you got to work with.)
Flakes
If we agree to a sit down or a shoot and you flake on me, I will never work with you. If you contact me more than one time saying that you want to/we should shoot, and fail to set something up, I will never work with you. My time is very important and I will not be disrespected.
Shooting Time
NO ESCORTS: This means no friends, boyfriends, husbands, or bodyguards will be present during the shoot. No exceptions. I have done this enough to see that too often it is a distraction to the model and her expressions will suffer. I understand safety, but I am a professional, I have a REAL website, I have references, and it's exactly why I schedule a sit down first so that both sides can get a look and a gut feeling about one another.
Be Prepared: This may sound silly, but it has happened one too many times, to have the model show up unprepared to shoot. Some have shown up with hair on their armpits, massive bags under their eyes, messy hair, chapped lips, tanned to the point where they looked like a lobster, and so on. Either show up looking your best or I will cancel the shoot on the spot.
NO CELL PHONES: Your phones must be turned off during the shoot and only used directly before, after, or during a break.
Agreement
Prior to working with me, you will acknowledge and agree to my guidelines above.
